The Green Cup Polo match on Saturday July 19thNext Saturday get ready for The Green Cup Polo match on Saturday July 19th. This is the first social event in the region to fully implement green principles into their event and is officially certified green.
This means that it will be green and eco-friendly for various reasons. There will be organic food, beer and vodka, sustainable materials utilized and of course, the beneficiaries are all eco-focused: EarthEcho International, American Council on Renewable Energy, Equestrian Partners in Conservation, and Live Green. The Capitol Polo Club, where the Cup will be played, has a vested interest in becoming certified green as well.
The day will provide two matches (First Chukkers included), tons of food and drinks, live music and entertainment, a VIP lounge .
Co-founded by Sara Trab Nielsen and Dr. Robert Do, this two year old match is only getting better with the metro area's support.
Event details: Gates open at 12pm; Main Match starts at 2:30pm
After Party at Skye Lounge DC.
