Art and Soul Restaurant DC Opens

Art and Soul Restaurant Opens
415 New Jersey Avenue NW, between D and E Streets

Capitol Hill has a brand new restaurant that equal parts art and soul, this restaurant is the creation of from James Beard award winning chef Art Smith, best known for Table Fifty-Two in Chicago and his former role as Oprah's personal chef.

This new capitol hill restaurant will feature amazing hoecakes topped with horseradish and cured salmon or blue crab, braised beef, and Brie. Comfort foods come with a twistlike pecan-crusted chicken with wassail sauce. In the dining room, the artwork reflects the soul vibe of the restaurant it depicts visionaries like Martin Luther King Jr., Gandhi, and Churchill.

Making this place a southerner's dream you just have to offer boiled peanuts and pork cracklins as bar snacks. The restaurant, located in the new Liaison Capitol Hill hotel, is the latest project from James Beard award winning chef Art Smith. You already know how much LITON EVENTS loves the brand new Liason hotel.

Maryland native Ryan Morgan, who was most recently executive sous chef at TenPenh, will oversee the kitchen duties. Morgan's mid-Atlantic upbringing combined with Smith's Southern roots help to shape the menu.

The wine list emphasizes organic and bio dynamic choices with 20 offerings by the glass. When in the capitol hill area make sure you stop by this restaurant.
