This year, Goodwill will host a live runway show and reception at La Maison Francaise (French Embassy) in Washington, DC on September 18th! The runway shows will showcase the quality vintage and contemporary apparel available at Goodwill Retail Stores.
This year’s theme is “Under Paris Skies” with many of the fashions featuring a distinct French influence.
In addition, the 2008 Fashion of Goodwill® Virtual Runway Show & Auction will be broadcast over the World Wide Web starting at midnight on September 19th!
All items featured in both the live and virtual fashion shows will be auctioned off or sold in support of Goodwill’s mission. In conjunction with these unique runway shows, Goodwill has again partnered with international fashion designer, Tu-Anh, who will be directing, coordinating, and choreographing the one-of-a-kind event using vintage and contemporary clothing and accessories pulled directly from the donations made to Goodwill.
All proceeds will help Goodwill of Greater Washington fulfill their mission of providing job training and employment programs for people with disadvantages
and disabilities here in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
