“A Karmic Fundraiser to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation”



A Yoga Journal Cover soiree benefiting the Make A Wish Foundation Washington, D.C. (April 19, 2010) - On Tuesday, April 20 at the new healthy “posh ” spot Funxion Faith Hunter, DC’s “it” yoga guru presents A Karmic Fundraiser – A Yoga Journal cover soiree to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation from 6:30pm- 9:30pm. For the first time ever a local Washington D.C. Yoga guru lands the cover of the national Yoga Journal cover, and in celebration, Faith will like everyone to join her to celebrate while giving back to a great cause. During the Cherry Blossom festival, Faith took the stage to teach 1000 yogi fans at the National Mall and now she will be sharing her success by giving back to the community. Come out and mingle with some of the most elite eco chic in the city while supporting a great cause. Guests will enjoy special cocktails from 6:30 to 7:30, passed hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. A $20 donation at door to benefit the Make a Wish Foundation. The 50 first attendees will enjoy special gift bags from Lululemon and more.

About Faith Hunter:Faith is an experienced-registered yoga instructor (E-RYT 500) whose subtle connections in the body, breath, and spiritual symbolism draw you deeper towards the experience of freedom in the asana and passion for life. She has studied with numerous instructors over the past 17 years, she is registered with Yoga Alliance, and she received her formal 200-hour certification from Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in New York City and has completed a 500-hour yoga teacher certification at Charm City Yoga. In addition, Faith is a Thai massage therapist, ayurvedic practitioner, writer, yoga podcaster, and co-owner/co-founder of SHAKTI MindBody Studio and the Director of the Shakti Yoga. Faith has been chosen to be the first Washington D.C. national Yoga Journal cover girl of May 2010.
