RIP DJ RICH WEBB - On Tuesday 6/15/10 We lost a legendary DJ and Friend!
Rich Webb was a legendary DJ in the Washington, D.C. club scene. With more than 9 years of experience, he has been a pioneer in bringing the progressive house sound back to the district headlining at top venues such as FUR, Nation, FIVE, Lima, SPANK at 1223, Andalu, Eyebar, Saki, Home Nightclub, Indebleu, K Street, and Club TEN in Baltimore, M.D.
Webb has destroyed dance floors becoming one of the most successful and well respected names on the D.C. scene. Webb has been featured at many LITON EVENTS venues during his time behind the tables. He was a close friend to Liton Group and will be truly missed in this city by music fans and friends alike.
Since 2002, Webb has been a featured resident DJ at Home Nightclub, Club Pulse at Andalu and Club SPANK at 1223, all in Washington, D.C. It is testament to Webb’s growing status that he has opened for the likes of Cedric Gervais at Fur Nightclub and Noel Sanger on New Years in 2005. He broke new ground lighting up the decks with Mike Haddad at the 2005 Winter Music Conference. Webb continues to wow club goers and colleagues alike having performed with Royce Haven, Alex Haje and Dr. Kucho.
On New Year’s Eve 2007, Webb honed his craft as he headlined to a sold out crowd at Gucci’s NYE party at Play Nightclub in Washington, D.C. In February 2007, Webb opened for international recording artist, DJ Max Graham at Club Vertigo in San Jose, Costa Rica. Recently Rich had recently become a regular resident DJ for the global GLOW party hosted by Panorama Productions.
Rich was known for his passion for music and that bright smile and genuine heart that truly lit up the room when he entered. He will missed by all in the DC music scene and by friends and family.
