Barracks Row has recently channeled the Balkan Peninsula with the opening of Ambar, the newest venture from chef Richard Sandoval and partner Ivan Iricanin. After spending months in Balkan Peninsula taking in the the tastes of the region. The team was finally able to decide on a way to bring those tastes of the region to the DC area without

Iricanin brought over Chef Bojan Bocvarov from his native Serbia to oversee the menu, which features the best of the Balkans cusisine with lots of pork and pastries with a modern touch. The famous Balkan fermented fruit drink, Rakia, is truly amazing at the venue. You can select from more than 30 varieties at DC’s very first Rakia Bar.

This will be the place to be for a new twist of cuisine from the Balkans!
