Luke's Wings Fashion Takes Flight


Join in as Fashion Takes Flight, the kick off to the 2010 campaign and the beginning of our third anniversary celebration.

Attendees of the event will enjoy cocktails, gourmet hors d'eourves from some of the Washington area's best restaurants, as well as a luxury silent auction. Models and military service men and women ‘take flight’ in a swank, high energy runway exhibition highlighting cutting edge fashion from Washington’s best boutiques and collections by the District's premier designers. Our 2010 host is WUSA 9’s Angie Goff.

Luke’s Wings is an organization dedicated to the support of service members who have been wounded in battle. Recognizing the immediate need for families to be with their loved ones during such a difficult time, Luke’s Wings provides families with the means to visit during the service member’s hospitalization and rehabilitation. By purchasing travel agency services and travel tickets for loved ones, Luke’s Wings provides an immediate and invaluable service to the families of our men and women at arms while also helping to encourage and motivate the service member’s recovery.

On Thursday August 21st at 8pm for The Red White and Blue Summer Closer! This event will run until 12am - then party moves to Midtown at Fly Lounge DC.

Please join us at the Rookery for music, drink specials, and grand old American happy hour. This is the perfect opportunity to rock out that red, white, or blue summer outfit one last time.

Ebong Eka will host his first charity fashion show to unveil his prêt-a-porter menswear line, Mi Chiamo Eka. We are very happy for Ebong Eka who has truly become the talk of the town with a amazing sense of personal style and presence in and around the city. Another reason we are behind this event is that a portion of the proceeds will go to one of our partner charites, Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund.

The evening will include a one-of-a-kind runway performance featuring some of Washington’s most eligible bachelors, Philippe Cousteau, Sherif Abdalla, Tony Hudgins,
Seyhan Duru, and Steve Chenevey, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund.

Tickets for this stylish affair are priced at $50 per person in advance or $60 at the door and include open wine bar, passed hors d’oeuvres as well as live entertainment courtesy of DJ Dirty Hands(FLY-Ibiza).
